Guide to travel in Colombia
This is a 4 or 5 day trip sighseeing the best of this beautiful region. It can be reached by road from Medellín (approximately 6 hours) or by plane from anywhere else to the city of Pereira.
DAY 1
Arrival from Bogotá or Medellín to Salento. In this beautiful town, we will take a walk through its main park, main streets, and two viewpoints.
Accommodation at a hotel in Salento.
DAY 2
We will travel to the Cocora Valley, 20 minutes from Salento and one of Colombia's most iconic natural sites. There is a forest of Wax Palms, the tallest palm trees in the world (up to 60 meters tall), where you can hike or horseback ride. The environment is spectacular, and with luck, you might spot the Andean condor, the largest bird in South America.
We will travel to a coffee farm where we will take a coffee tour, learning about the coffee process, from the plant to the cup.

DAY 3
Transfer to Filandia (approximately 1 hour). This is another of Colombia's most beautiful towns, with colorful colonial architecture. We'll take a hike that includes spectacular views, excellent coffee, and places that reflect its culture, such as the Museo del Bejuco y el Canasto. We'll also visit a wooden tower on the outskirts of town, a 360-degree viewpoint from which to appreciate the beauty of the Coffee Cultural Landscape. We'll have the opportunity to have a delicious lunch.
Transfer to the Santa Rosa Hot Springs (2 hours approx.). This is a hotel that has thermal water pools, but also a cold water waterfall, to spend a relaxing time at the end of the trip.
DAY 4
Return.
This trip can be customized to do it for fewer or more days.
The accommodations have quite comfortable private rooms, a swimming pool and other amenities. You can also choose them to your liking.
Includes transportation, bilingual guide, insurance and tickets to the Cocora Valley, Museo del Canasto and Filandia viewpoint.
